Community partnership
A large proportion of our funding donations each year is made through Community Partnership Groups working with our main funded Charity Community Youth Ltd (www.cyltd.org). Affiliates as well as other Local Borough Council youth provisions or similar organisations, are eligible for our support.    We have funded groups in Lewisham, Southwark, Croydon, Lambeth and Wandsworth and continue to grow across England.
Over the last year our match funding has also delivered some highly effective outcomes as illustrated by the following examples:
Community Youth Ltd – As a new charity with no funding, Digital Holdings has 100% supported plus funded this project and it is now fully running plus growing at an exceptional rate. They now have a database of over 9000 young people and have won an award for best creative community group (BBI Southwark 2007). Patrons and supporters include Mayor Bob Skelly, Jenny Francis (Choice FM) etc. CYL work with all 5 youth provisions across different London Boroughs. (www.cyltd.org)
YourStory – Sport related Charity based in Lilian Baileys School, Lambeth. To raise funding in 2007 they held a blue collar boxing event, this was part funded, filmed, produced, edited and packaged by the Digital Holdings with an outstanding result. (www.yourstory.org.uk)
PAYP Lewisham – An event to promote the achievements of young people throughout Lewisham. Digital Holdings provided the project management, entertainment, promotional material plus artwork designs and print. (www.lewisham.gov.uk)
MET Lewisham– An event and competition to gain answers on gang, knife and gun crime
“Bin Them or Bury Who”. A full amnesty event set to attract over 500 young people and gather the requested information needed to cut local crime levels. (www.met.police.uk/lewisham)
Home Office “Don’t Trigger Campaign 2007”– Digital Holdings produced 2 music videos, photo shoots, 141a management companies EPK and website plus project support. This was a nationwide campaign that used a movie “Hip Hop Opera” and soundtrack supported by music videos to reach young people in the streets and address the rise in gun crime.
